Er is geen enkele Mitsubishi EVO te bespeuren op de service. Net zoals Wouter Muylle, aan de start met de TeamFloral Ford Fiesta R5, komt Steve Brown in extremis ook met een Ford Fiesta aan de start. Door problemen met de versnellingsbak werd er \u2018last minute\u2019 naar een oplossing gezocht om toch te kunnen rijden. En deze oplossing werd gevonden bij XLT. Dankzij Xavier Lannoo kan Steve Brown, met de XLT Ford Fiesta R2, alsnog van start in de TBR Rallysprint. Naast de Ford Fiesta R5 en de Ford Fiesta R2 staat er nog een derde Ford aan de start. De Ford Sierra, bemant door Geert Huyghebaert en Eric Wullen, doet immers dienst als dubbel nul.
