Baumschlager komt er als eerste priv\u00e9 piloot aan de start met de Volkswagen Polo R WRC. Het betreft de ex-Ogier Polo met chassisnummer 33.<\/p>\n<p>De langdurige samenwerking tussen Baumschlager en de Volkswagen Group bereikt hiermee een hoogtepunt. Het project werd al tijdens de wintermaanden besproken, herhaaldelijk opgeschort en nu uiteindelijk gerealiseerd.<\/p>\n<p>Natuurlijk zal Baumschlager wat tijd nodig hebben om de wagen helemaal onder de knie te krijgen. Hierbij wordt niets aan het toeval overgelaten. Zo staat er een team klaar van Vokswagen Motorsport met onder andere Gerard Jan de Jongh, de voormalige ingenieur van Sebsatien Ogier.<\/p>\n<p>De wagen zal later op het seizoen nog 3 \u00e0 4 maal ingezet worden.
